Course Overview

The Cyberkraft ISACA CRISC Bootcamp will help you develop strategic and technical knowledge needed to pass the CRISC exam. We will help you lead with confidence in today’s risk-driven landscape. This course has four domains:

Governance
The governance domain interrogates your knowledge of information about an organization’s business and IT environments, organizational strategy, goals and objectives, and examines potential or realized impacts of IT risk to the organization’s business objectives and operations, including Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Management Framework.
IT Risk Assessment
This domain will certify your knowledge of threats and vulnerabilities to the organization’s people, processes and technology as well as the likelihood and impact of threats, vulnerabilities and risk scenarios.
Risk Response and Reporting
This domain deals with the development and management of risk treatment plans among key stakeholders, the evaluation of existing controls and improving effectiveness for IT risk mitigation, and the assessment of relevant risk and control information to applicable stakeholders.
Information Technology and Security
In this domain we interrogate the alignment of business practices with Risk Management and Information Security frameworks and standards, as well as the development of a risk-aware culture and implementation of security awareness training.

Each domain will be presented with practical scenarios, practice questions that mirror the style of the exam, and real-world context to help you learn the skills and perform well in the real world.

The CRISC Review Manual 8th Edition Revised offers an easy-to-navigate format. Each of the book’s chapters has been divided into two sections for focused study. Section one of each chapter contains:

Definitions and objectives for the four areas
Task and knowledge statements
Self-assessment questions, answers, and explanations
Suggested resources for further study
Section two of each chapter consists of reference material and content that support the knowledge statements. The material enhances CRISC candidates’ knowledge and/or understanding when preparing for the CRISC certification exam. Also included are definitions of terms most found on the exam.

The ISACA CRISC Questions, Answers & Explanations Database—12 Month Subscription is a comprehensive 600-question pool of items that contains the questions from the CRISC Questions, Answers & Explanations Manual, 6th Edition. The database is available via ISACA PERFORM, a web-based learning platform, allowing CRISC candidates to log in at home, at work or anywhere they have Internet connectivity.

Exam candidates can utilize an interactive planner to build a custom study plan, and a personalized dashboard serves as the primary method to navigate studies and track progress. Candidates will be presented with randomly selected practice question sets and be able to view the results by job practice domain, allowing for concentrated study in particular areas. Each question-and-answer set includes in-depth explanations for each answer choice, allowing the learner to fully understand the rationale behind each correct—and incorrect—answer choice.

The class was incredibly helpful in providing a clear understanding of my current knowledge level. However, it’s not the best choice for complete beginners due to its fast pace and limited time for in-depth exploration of topics. If the course had been a week longer, it would have been much more beneficial for novice participants, given the vast amount of information they need to absorb. John, the professor, was an excellent teacher. Unfortunately, the time constraints of the course restricted his ability to teach in the way he would have preferred. The module quizzes and PBQS were the standout features of this program. They were challenging yet manageable, making them an excellent way to test and reinforce learning. As someone who prefers to immerse myself in the learning process, I highly recommend taking the self-paced course. The modules provide a wealth of resources, including videos, passages, quizzes, and PBQS, all at a fraction of the cost of a traditional course. I’m not sure if the course includes the test voucher and retake credit, but if it does, you can save a significant amount of money. These vouchers are worth around $1000. Overall, I had a great experience with this company. The customer service was prompt, responsive, and helpful at all times. And would definitely recommend this to a friend a colleague. Needless to say, I successfully PASSED my exam. Hands down, the absolute best choice I could've made. What is the average salary of a CRISC?

In 2024, the average salary for a professional with their CRISC was reported to be $143,000 (Payscale), $151,995 (Coursera), or $156,390 (Certification Magazine). The ISACA CRISC is the #4 top paying IT/cybersecurity certification globally.

What are the experience requirements to earn your CRISC?

You will need to have at least three years of experience in IT Risk Management or IS control. This experience will need to be earned in the 10 years preceding your exam or within the 5 years afterwards. You are still able to pass the exam without having met the experience requirements, you would just be required to complete the experience requirements after passing. If you have questions about wheher your experience qualifies, reach out to our team!

What is the CRISC exam format?

The CRISC exam will take you four hours or 240 minutes to complete. It includes 150 questions. ISACA members normally pay an exam fee of $575 while non-members pay $760 to take the exam. However, as a Cyberkraft student, your fully paid exam voucher and ISACA membership are included in your ISACA CRISC Bootcamp registration fee.
