“Strongly recommend this Cyberkraft CCSP training to anyone wanting to complete the CCSP certification. Excellent video series and practice tests and exams which helped me pass the official CCSP exam the first time!” ~Steve O.
“His videos are awesome. He explains concepts in ways that I can understand. He breaks the videos into easy to watch segments on specific topics…In addition to helping me prepare for the exam, his videos and slides helped me to actually understand the concepts. I highly recommend Dennis and his programs. I plan to enroll in more courses with him as well.” ~Ron W.
“The Cyberkraft CCSP training course helped a lot with learning the CCSP CBK. I tend to over study when preparing for an exam and was glad to have included this course in my overall study plan. I received my provisional pass (first time) and would like to thank you again!” ~Mike B.
Cloud security is in demand now more than ever. With our current situation, more workforces are working from home. Workers need to dial in remotely and companies need to secure their cloud resources and allow these workers to dial in to their network securely. This is all covered in cloud security.
Cisco even predicts that 94% of all computing will be conducted in the cloud by 2022. This is creating a huge demand for trained cybersecurity professionals who know cloud computing.
And that’s where the CCSP comes in. CCSP demonstrates to hiring managers that you have the the skills to operate and excel in a cloud environment.
To obtain the CCSP certification, you need to pass a certification exam offered by Pearson VUE in conjunction with (ISC)². The exam will take three hours and contain 125 multiple choice questions. The passing grade for the exam is a 700 out of 1,000.
There are six different domains within the CCSP:
Each one of these domains has a different focus and a different weight on the exam. In our Cyberkraft CCSP Course, we place more emphasis on the domains that have a higher weight. And we give you more opportunities to learn those materials than we would with the domains that aren’t weighted as highly.
The average salary for CCSP turns out to be $138,610 per year. This is an average salary — some people make less and some people make much more. It’s an excellent certification to pair with other cybersecurity certifications that demonstrate existing knowledge within the field like a Security + or CISSP.
CCSP is designed to demonstrate that you know cloud security and that you’re willing and you’re able to operate in a cloud environment. As we know, this compromises the vast majority of computing environments today. So companies right now definitely need cloud certified professionals.
(Watch me guide you through these steps in the video above.)
Step 1: Register on (ISC)² Website.
With any browser, go to Google and type in (ISC)² CCSP, or write ISC2 CCSP. The top result will take you to the (ISC)² website. From here, you’re going to click “Register for Exam.” Then, click “Register Now.”
This takes you to the Pearson VUE website. Pearson VUE is the company that hosts the test taking environment. So that’s where you’ll actually go to take the exam. You’ll have a computer and that computer in front of you will give you a multiple choice exam that’s three hours in length.
In our Cyberkraft CCSP Course, we provide you with a simulated testing environment that is exactly like what you’ll see at Pearson VUE. So you’ll be subjected to timed exams that are just like the exams you’re going to see on test day.
Step 2: Create Pearson VUE Account
If you are existing (ISC)² member, you’re going to type in your (ISC)² identification number. If you need to find that information, you can look at a previous certificate that you’ve received. If you’ve gotten a CISSP, you can look there for your information or you could log into your account of (ISC)² and it should list it.
If you don’t have that, that’s fine. You can select “I don’t know my (ISC)² ID.” Type in your information here and put your email address. And then you go through your contact information. You apply additional information. These steps will create an account with Pearson VUE.
Step 3: Schedule Your Date and Location
Once you’ve created your account, you’re then able to schedule the exam and pick your exam date. Then, you’ll be able to pay for the exam.
Click “view exams” and you’ll be provided with a list of exam types. You want to select Certified Cloud Security Professional, or CCSP. Select your language, and it gives you your price. And it’s going to ask you for some additional information.
Input your additional information. Then, it’s going to present you with a list of test centers. Input your target location and view the map of available test centers in your area. Pick whatever test center you want. It’s going to give you a list of dates when testing is possible.
There are Pearson VUE test centers in every major city. You can find appointment times at any major city. Once you select a location, you can pick your time down at the bottom.
You do need to have some cloud experience to obtain the CCSP certification. You must have a minimum of five years in Information Technology with one year of experience in one of the domains and one year experience in another one of the domains.
If you have any questions about whether your experience would count or what (ISC)² is looking for when it comes to experience, please email me directly. I’ll be happy to answer those questions for you, because a lot of these domains cover multiple fields. If you have experienced in assessment or authorization, or security control assessments or remediation, vulnerability scanning, that’s going to be covered in these domains.
If you already have an existing (ISC)² certification, like a CISSP or a CCSK, you can substitute some years of experience.
Even if you don’t have the experience requirement, you can still get an “Associate of (ISC)² CCSP Certification.” It will certify that you’ve taken the exam. Then, you can go out and get the experience. You have six years to obtain five years of experience within cloud security. Once you obtain that, you are fully certified as a CCSP.
